Heck and half-of-Georgia!

I have literally been through heck and half-of-Georgia during this trip. We shopped and packed for OCS today. You don’t even want to know how much this trip has cost us! I think I am going to sell a kidney — that will at least cover the uniform expenses!
We are on the road all day tomorrow. We will get to worship as a family tomorrow morning, eat some lunch, say a very long and tearful good-bye and then go our separate ways. Bryan will go on to OCS and be challenged in every way imaginable, and I will be challenged with a curly-headed Pirate who will miss her papa — not to mention the loneliness of going home with out my best friend again.
See you all on the other side of the mountain!

I am so glad you guys were able to spend some time together. I have always told Hubby that no matter where he goes or for how long it always end up costing us more than if he stuck close to home. :I am amazed at the stuff they need but don’t use. Be safe going home and hang on to this week.
Thank you BFW. It’s funny because I thought of you often this week, and the sacrifice you and your Jack Bauer have made. I think I understand a little more of what you must go through, but I still have not walked the distance you have with deployment. You are quite incredible!
NGW: I met an Officer Candidate in Commandos this week and he said that half of the stuff he bought he will never use… but you still have to buy it. Ugh. What in the world can I use a crap load of parachute cord for? Maybe we should get together and write a new book called “A military spouse’s guide to using the useless crap you are forced to buy!” We could make millions! :)
We did have a great trip home, and now I have some awesome new memories to store away and pull out when it gets bad. I am excited for you and your dh coming home. I can’t wait until you are getting celebrate! It is a blessing to watch and cheer from the sidelines! Thanks so much for going to Benning with me, so to speak, this past week. I appreciate the words very much!
Claire glad the trip there and home was a safe one and so glad you got to be with him, it will rejuvenate you for the next leg of your journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the Pirate everyday!!!!!
