Knee Deep in the Hooah!

Most of you have probably heard of the ruckus that happened in Berkeley in the latter part of this past week. If not, you can visit Michelle Malkin’s website for good coverage and updates. I have been following the story since I got an email update from Move America Forward, who sent an email out to tell the story of how Berkeley City Council members voted against the Marines and their presence at their Recruiting Station in Berkeley. Yes, they want to silence other Americans who do not agree with them. They want to silence the men who fight to give them the right to speak at all. It’s beyond disgusting and reprehensible. Even with how disgusting it really is none of us should be surprised with their antics.

I think that every Presidential Candidate should have to give a personal statement on the affairs in Berkeley. They should have to address how they feel about the mistreatment of the Marines there, what they will do to ensure that military service members are allowed to do their jobs without being censored or having to endure criminal actions by those from the anti-war camp, and finally they should tell us whether or not they plan to vote with DeMint (R-SC) on the legislation he has drawn up to deny tax money to Berkeley. I am very curious to hear this statement out loud, in the public eye, and with both sides listening. I will give you one hint on where my thoughts are on all of this (since it isn’t already obvious! lol ) If the person running for President can not stand up to some common bullies and washed up hippy artifacts from this area in our Country, then said person has no business leading the world’s greatest military — not even for a second.

If you have not signed the online petition, please do so right away. What else can you do? I have an idea that I would love to see readers consider. Let’s face it, we are not going to change generations of moon-bat closed mindedness from this area in California. I think that most of these people are a lost cause when it comes to their ability to make simple connections and embrace reality. By the looks of some of them I would say this is one of their acid flashbacks from their “finer” days of spitting on Vietnam Veterans. I say forget the Pinkos and the whackos and focus on supporting the Marines who have had to endure this.

Remember the old adage “The best revenge is a life well led?” Well, I propose that we make sure our Marines are well cared for. If you are interested in send a “care package” to the men in Berkeley who are being harassed by this faction, please send me an email and I will work to find an address and contact name for you to send things to. I am thinking boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, gift certificates to places like Pizza Hut, maybe a local bakery can make a nice cake that says “We love our Marines!” You get the idea. I would love to see our Marines in Berkeley well cared for and living like Kings while the rabble rage on their door steps.
