I just found this on Move America Forward. Apparently the Mayor who said he wanted to clarify the things that were said about our Marines by Berkeley City Council has done just that. Here’s what MAF says and a picture to seal the deal. What a jackal!

Mayor Tom Bates says he wants to back away from the City Council’s resolutions, and clarify them. Clarify them to what? That the Council Members should personally join him in harassing the Marines at their office?
I read somewhere that legislation is being put together to pull $2 million worth of federal funding from Berkeley. About time!
I wonder if Tom Bates may be backing away because of that…? Hit ‘em where it hurts…

Piper, I think that this picture was taken on Saturday. He supposedly sent out a press release with a tone that he was rescinding or at least apologizing, and then this. Ugh. Tuesday will be the biggie. I am planning on posting a history of Code Pink’s actions (which include sending money to terrorist in Iraq!) on Monday. This group is not just anti-war… they are anti-American, anti-war on terror, and anti-democracy. This is who the City of Berkeley is siding with!

I am beyond disgusted to the point I had to take Pepto Bismol last night…..Got a post up about Code Pink this morning - and their latest shenanigans. I so wish I could be in Berkeley on Tuesday - but then there would be an international incident.;)
