Every morning
I start my morning out with prayer. I pray for my family and friends, and I always try and take a moment to be thankful for the very breath I am inhaling at the moment. It’s so peaceful to spiritually and physically rest in the assurance that the next breath — whether it is willed for me to have or not — rests solely in the hands of a merciful, sovereign, and loving God.
Slowly, I am realizing that every morning is the beginning of a day that is one minute closer to re-deployment. I know we still have a lot of time left. I also know that a lot can happen one moment from the next, but at this moment I can breath in deeply and let it out controlled. No tears. No pain. Just a hope and a longing to see my son’s face here, at home.

I pray for you and yours everyday too!!!
Me too. God Bless Claire

Thank you all for the prayers, and for reading what I share. It’s nice to share this path with so many others who share our Faith. :)
Even though they are experiencing the same things, it seems your son is able to have more peace than his friend Suspect. I wonder if it isn’t his faith helping carry him. I pray for them both, and my son and many others daily. Boy, this waiting stuff is HARD.
{{{{{{{{{{{{Claire}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I chat with God throughout the day. The first breath of any day always holds GREAT promise to me. And if need be, on *those* days, I bring my focus back to where we each belong - one breath at a time if that is all I can manage.
You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers.. God knows your needs….
Claire,
We pray for all the Soldiers everyday here at our home. Even though it is hard having loved ones in the military, having the peace that only God can provide gets us through. We commend our Soldier and all of the Soldiers to God’s care every day.
and another {{hug}} to all of you with family membres that are serving…
As my granddaughter says in her nightly prayers, “Please God, watch over all the army guys and bring them home safe” All I can add…… Amen!
