A Defining Cultural Moment in American History
I am absolutely amazed that a man can stand up to defend himself, and justify his continuation of membership in a blatantly racist church, and be hailed as giving our Country a “defining cultural moment” as been hailed across the Country this morning by our “oh so unbiased” media. I will let you all close your eyes and think about what the reporters would be saying this morning if one of the other 2 candidates belonged to a Church whose minister has made blatant anti-Semitic comments… time and time again.
I only heard some snippets of what he said, and to be honest I really don’t care to hear it either. He said that his minister said some very divisive things at a time when America needs unity. Unity indeed. I guess his idea of unity is calling the war in Iraq “Bush’s war.” Obama also refuses to acknowledge that al Qaeda has an established presence in Iraq. I guess it’s just been a “band of actors” playing al Qaeda in Iraq that has kept our men on their toes all this time.
Politics at its best. He wants unity. He wants everyone in the Country to vote for him. Outside of that I have not seen much concern for the unity of this Country.
Here’s what a real cultural moment looks like. It is not a man defending himself, but rather it’s a man using his political power and political sway to publicly challenge a symbol of oppression and a threat to world peace.

He scares me.
