“We love death…” — Nasrallah

sarcasm.jpgIn an article in the Wall Street Journal entitled “Worshippers of Death”, Nasrallah, the leader of the terrorist group Hezbollah, states the following:

“We are going to win, because they love life and we love death,” said Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah. He has also said: “[E]ach of us lives his days and nights hoping more than anything to be killed for the sake of Allah.” Shortly after 9/11, Osama bin Laden told a reporter: “We love death. The U.S. loves life. That is the big difference between us.”

Now, if this is true for all of those who have declared Jihad, then why do they hide in caves and in bunkers below the earth? If they really “… live their days and nights hoping more than anything to be killed for the sake of Allah” then don’t you think that they would do more to ensure that they get their hopes? I am beginning to think that maybe they are a tad on the insincere side.

I propose that the US Army create a “Make a Death Wish” foundation to grant the hopes and dreams of “dying for Allah” for terrorists everywhere. I know that the Army has been hard at work trying to grant this life long wish to these terrorists, but maybe if we built a “Make a Death Wish” foundation theme park we could draw them in by the hordes.

The above mentioned article opens with this comment from a loving, and undoubtedly, nurturing mother… (please note the deep, deep tone of sarcasm in that statement) :

Zahra Maladan is an educated woman who edits a women’s magazine in Lebanon. She is also a mother, who undoubtedly loves her son. She has ambitions for him, but they are different from those of most mothers in the West. She wants her son to become a suicide bomber.

At the recent funeral for the assassinated Hezbollah terrorist Imad Moughnaya — the mass murderer responsible for killing 241 marines in 1983 and more than 100 women, children and men in Buenos Aires in 1992 and 1994 — Ms. Maladan was quoted in the New York Times giving the following warning to her son: “if you’re not going to follow the steps of the Islamic resistance martyrs, then I don’t want you.”

Wow, and to think that we take children away from parents who spank them too hard in this Country. I bet social workers in Lebanon have case loads that are unbearable, or maybe not since this is something that is considered honorable.

If there is anyone left in this world who thinks that radical Islam can be negotiated with, or who thinks that this is a religion, when expressed radically, that will ever cohabitate peacefully with another religion or obey the laws of a non-Islamic Government, is experiencing a little something that we social workers call “denial.” There’s treatment for that. It’s called “confronting and embracing” the truth. Open your eyes and embrace what is clearly stated before you. They love death and we love life. Choose life.

    Hey Claire,
Your wit and sarcasm sure make for a great reading. I have to second Heather on the “OMG “The Make a Death Wish Foundation”…..that is perfect!!!!!”

They love death and we love life…..this is so true. If only others could see that this like many other issues… is not one we can convince them to change their stance on overnight…if ever.

Thanks you two. Oh, I could have had even more fun with this one. I think we could come up with some rides for the theme park! :)
