Heard on the news this morning: “Baghdad has deadliest month in a half a year…”
Deadliest month in a half-a-year?? What? We have been at war for 5-years and they are now using this kind of measure? I can only assume it’s because it’s not the deadliest month against any other measure. God forbid the MSM say “Even with recent violence, the increased security in Baghdad is making a tremendous difference in fatalities.” Of course that would be, yet again, more evidence of the success of the surge and more evidence that we have an upper hand in Iraq.
It’s the old media trick of “Never let the facts get in the way of a good story”.
“Earthquakes and forest fires wreak havoc on Southern California. Women and Children hardest hit….”
