And, the Jackass of the Day Award goes to…
(found on RN)
Democratic Senator Jay Rockerfeller, for the following statement:
“McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they (the missiles) get to the ground? He doesn’t know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues,”
Here’s to you Senator Rockerfeller. It was a hard choice, and there were, oh so many to choose from today, but you earned it. Congratulations!

Way to get a sound bite and carry water for the Democrats at this hearing Jay. Now pick up your award.
Thanks for posting this, Claire.

RottenFeller is the perfect example of why one should engage brain before putting the mouth into gear.
He was wrong on all accounts, and had to suck it up and make an ersatz apology when caught.
Some raving aide had probably spoonfed misinformation to the man based on socialist propagandists.
The indiscriminate popping off of liberal mouths these days bespeaks their increasing desperation.
Thanks for the linkeage in the Family’s section.
My son, LT Adam, can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OphSd19BiLk.
He’s about 1:20 into the piece, as a small boy decorating his bike with a flag, and then the next pic as a commissioned officer. The clip is Red Skelton’s Pledge of Allegiance to which I’ve added some local patriotic flag and solider pics. Dedicated to the 204th En Bn, NYARNG, for their service to our Country in Iraq and at the World Trade Center.

Cathy… I often wonder if they have good old fashioned blanket parties in Congress after one of their own says something so stupid… the other Dems probably kicked his butt after school! lol I bet John Kerry got his butt kicked all the time! haha ! Although Hillary’s questions drove me batty too… “Uh, we were thinking that maybe, possibly, this possible thing could probably do this or do that, if it doesn’t do the other thing, maybe possibly so, and the surge is a failure.” :rolleyes
Al, GREAT video! I love it, and I totally LOVED the Red Skelton pledge. I have seen a lot of his shows, but never heard this one. It’s great, and it should be played in every school over the loud speaker every day. Thank you so much for sharing that! You are totally correct too about the desperation of the lefties. I am amazed (but more often confused) by the stuff that flies from their lips! Oh well, give them enough rope, so to speak!

Great post Claire! You always keep me up to date on great stories.
What a silly statement that he made. What was he thinking? Way to make your self look like an idiot. Wonder why none of his buddies let him know that was a bad way of making a remark about McCain…and that in the end it would only make him look stupid.
Thanks for posting,
Jade

I had a one word (wide-eyed?) reaction to the Senator’s comment…
