Claire: I had the advantage of working in small town radio, then training in the Navy and at DINFOS (Defense Information School, Fort Ben Harrison) and finally in TV. Knowing when to keep my head down and when to take a shot helped me through, but of course, it was a challenge.

It was great fun to laugh at crying little wussie journalist girlies in the newsroom the night s Reagan won (both times), and when you know you're right, you know you're right, so that girds your loins, so to speak. :-).

Now retired, I can take potshots with impunity, sit back and analyze, and make my day by whizzing off libs who try to post spam and are moderated out of the loop.

As you are a citizen journalist (courts have ruled on this), and publish on a regular basis, you are afforded all the press protections, m'dear.
I'll be publishing shortly a list of all the things bloggers are legally allowed to print, and the pictures they are allowed to take. Good stuff there, and should be required knowledge for all free peoples and the press in particular.

Keep on keepin' on, thanks for the good work and your service to our country.
