Situated within a dense forest at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains on the outskirts of Hancock, New York, Islamberg is not an ideal place for a summer vacation unless, of course, you are an exponent of the Jihad or a fan of Osama bin Laden. The 70 acre complex is surrounded with “No trespassing” signs; the rocky terrain is infested with rattlesnakes; and the woods are home to black bears, coyotes, wolves, and a few bobcats.
The entrance to the community is at the bottom of a very steep hill that is difficult to navigate even on a bright sunny day in May. The road, dubbed Muslim Lane, is unpaved and marred by deep crevices that have been created by torrential downpours. On a wintry day, few, save those with all terrain vehicles, could venture forth from the remote encampment.
A sentry post has been established at the base of the hill.
The sentry, at the time of this visit, is an African American dressed in Islamic garb - - a skull cap, a prayer shawl, and a loose fitting shalwat kameez. He instructs us to turn around and leave. “Our community is not open to visitors,” he says.

Sadly, there is one of these right here in good ‘ol Tennessee. Reckin we ort ta bring ‘em a covered dish just to say “howdy” and “welcome to the neighborhood”?
Come on. We all knew there were Islamic training camps here in America. Don’t you think its about time we at least started admiting it?
After all, isn’t that the first step in recovery? Admission of a problem? Hummmm?
Mr.Hooah!, out.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!
Why in the world would “we” allow this to continue?? Haven’t they got a clue yet?
Ok, I’m going to go bang my head against the brick wall for a long long time…..
btw, loved the DBS cartoon today.
I live about 15 miles from theenclave at Rood’s Road, also known as “Muslimville”.
Rest assured that there’s a great number of clandestine cameras watching and the area is patrolled regularly by the Delaware County Sheriff’s department, Homeland Security, and others.
It’s been there since before 9-1-1 and recently has been the subject of a raid by authorities over welfare fraud and child abuse. Until 9-1-1, toll collectors from the New York Bridge Authority, the NJ Turnpike, and other Muslims employed by the government would house their kids and wives there while they worked downstate. But they are gone now. After 9-1-1 the place became almost a ghost town.
It’s mostly vacant and only a few aged toothless specimens act as ‘caretakers. the place is a total slum and literally uninhabitable.
The authorities nipped this one in the bud years ago. Fox news even sent a crew up there 3 years back.
Even closer to my place is the Sidney Center Mosque, whose Sheik harbored a double murderer for six months until the cops caught up to him.

This place had a picture of Osama Bin Laden on it’s door on 9-1-1!
It had been up on the door for weeks! That story made the paper, and of course, the pic was hastily removed. Be assured that this dump is also the subject of extreme surveillance.
This “mosque” manages a couple of convenience stores in the area, which has gas priced 10 cents/gallon OVER the national average. Needless to say, the locals will not patronize the stores, and they never seem to have any business at the pump. Can you say ” money laundry”, kiddies?
Al Czervic, (not a turban wearer)
I have read about this place and a few others in a papers. I even saw a news report on the place a while back (I forget where).
I would think that they have violated some law on the books either federal or state that would allow the place to be raided an shut down. All I can figure is its a lesser of two evils thing. At least all the radicals are located in one place for easy surveillance, where if they shut it down they would spread out all over.
I remember all the “right wing radical” stuff of the 1980s and how that was handled. I grew up in an area with a major “militia” and W.A.R presence just under the surface. If the feds handle this like that, then I can tell you they know exactly what is going on in there.
Aahhh, you gentlemen help me to sleep better at night.
Sadly I still have a few problems with the way this sort of thing is handled in my state.
1)These things are almost never, never, reported around here.
2) I really don’t think the TBI or FBI is watching my states “problem areas”.
3) I have a real problem with the whole “lets keep them in one place so we can watch them” philosophy of survelliance. I’m not willing to keep them in my home state.
4) I don’t think the feds are handling this at all like they did the militia movement. Furthermore, the militia/war movement was not organized, subsidized, and on the offensive in the same sense and in the same manner as the jihadists.
I’m not an alarmist but if my state is having these problems … how many other states are also having such problems?
Eh, I guess I just don’t trust the Feds to know or do crap. Government is not the answer. It’s the problem. Men like you are the answer. Thanks for commenting, guys (and gal).
