Shutting comments down on Obama thread
Apparently some people are up in arms about Mr. H!’s Obama article and that Stand To linked to it this past week. I have a lot to say about the responses I am seeing, but I do not have the time to write about it just yet. Someone from Washington Post linked to the blog and that has, in turn, brought forth a couple of comments… one in particular that has made me decide that I am shutting the comments down to deescalate the situation.
Let’s face it, we aren’t going to convince them and they are not going to convince us. I could sit here and beat my head against that brick wall, but I personally find that to be a very stupid waste of my time. I am going to post a response directly to some of the comments made to me about how I was linked to by the military and Army policy around such.
If you have questions for me, and would like for them to be addressed please feel free to email me. Thank you. Oh, and I will have an official disclaimer up by morning so that people can figure out once and for all that I am a PRIVATE blogger.

Sadly … my wife wrote a wonderful article, today, on caregivers and coping skills that has gone largely unnoticed. Almost all of what she has tried to accomplish here has been for the benefit of military families. Do any of the Trolls notice or care? No. They simply hate. Then they start the profanity. It’s what they do best.
I guess if I don’t want to detract from my wife’s good work I will have to start my own blog.
Would any of you read it? Why would you. My opinion is echoed on so many blog sites that its not even funny. My blog would just be more noise. Eh, I’ll think about it.
Oh, and Kary. If you were my son you would be a respectable upright citizen (all my sons are) instead of a profane WaPo Troll.
(did I speel all dat rite??) :B)

The sad thing about all of this is that people don’t seem to realize that we’ve surrendered already. How else do you explain the fact that the Bush administration refuses to lift a finger against those most responsible for the rise of Al Qaeda and the attacks on 9/11:

Indeed, they’ve systematically used the power of the presidency to protect them.
Of course, neither Obama nor McCain are offering to change course on this point. Looks like four more years of spinning our wheels one way or another.

Thank you for the note Mr. H! I am still amused by some of the comments, and found myself laughing out loud in the Dr.’s waiting room today when someone said that we are regurgitating Limbaugh and Fox, and the comment was basically copied and pasted from the WaPo article! Oh the delicious irony! Anyway, it will all blow over in a day or two. Yawn.
Armyvet, you really shouldn’t mumble when you talk.
Bill, I don’t disagree with what you are saying. I am bracing for four years of something… I don’t know what it will be yet, but it’s going to be tough.

And we are supposed to take these “mumblers” seriously????? To think that they all have the same right to vote as you do…THAT is scary..

You know it’s funny how quick they are to defend “Barack Hussain Obama ” now, but I truly wonder how much they would stand if he were to become president (yeah, I know, HUSH MY MOUTH) and some of the horror’s he is espousing come to fruition. Who are they gonna blame then? All I can say, is we best be praying night and day.
Oh, Mr.Hooah!, you know if and when you start your own blog, we’d be right there too! as well as here. Never fear, YOU would be read, and agreed with 99% of the time. Ok, had to leave that 1 percent just in case there would be something I had to argue over. :lol

In 1940, the United States had the 39th largest military in the world, just behind Finland. By 1943, the United States had built the largest military the world had ever seen. So perhaps everyone here is drunk on the military industrial complex, but military spending cuts don’t mean surrender. Fiscal responsibility must extend to the Pentagon.
