Gore challenges US to ditch oil
The title of the article really is “Gore Challenges US to Ditch Oil.”
Now, let me ask you, wouldn’t it be more feasible for Gore to challenge himself to give up oil and his own dependency on fossil fuels first (in order to show us how it’s to be done), or will this be another carbon credit deal where the rich and powerful get to keep the convenience and the rest of us schmucks get to give up for the sake of the universe? Of course the word “tax” was used in the plan.
Bah. The political arena of today is stranger than fiction. You couldn’t make this stuff up!

Too bad we can’t just ditch Gore.
I thought we did when we elected Bush the first time!
Although I would much rather him be busy with this stuff. Maybe something good will come of it one day? You never know, but I do know that we will be taxed out the wazoo to pay for it. If only Jimmy Carter had taken an interest in the environment instead of the ME!!
“Tax what we burn, not what we earn.” What? How high would that tax have to be?
Gore should talk.
He’s gotton so fat he can hardly get into his own pants.
Jane, I can guarantee you that it would be one high tax! Ugh!
Al, don’t you just get so sick of the double standards! I swear! Gore goes through more resources in a month than you or I probably use in a decade, and he is lecturing us on cutting back? Politicians police thy selves!
