Indoctrination Against Palin

Howdy folks, ToySoldier filling in for the wonderful Claire (aka my wonderful mother) who is currently recovering in the hospital. The surgery went fine and she is enjoying a push button pain aid, she should be returning home tomorrow.

I’m a bit tired, and have a root canal tomorrow so I’m reprinting one of my blogs from last week. It’s concerning an extremely left college professor and his attempts to indoctrinate students.

Indoctrination Against Palin

Prof tells students: ‘Undermine’ Palin
Metro State class assignment compares VP candidate to ‘fairy tale’

Students in an English class at Metropol itan State College in Denver have been told to assemble criticisms of GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin that “undermine” her, and students say they are concerned about the apparent bias.

“This so-called ‘assignment’ represents indoctrination in its purist form,” said Matt Barber, director of Cultural Affairs with Liberty Counsel, whose sister, Janna, is taking the class from Andrew Hallam, a new instructor at the school.

The instructor also, according to students, is harshly critical of President Bush during his classroom English presentations. He reportedly has allowed students who identify themselves as “liberal” to deride and ridicule those who identify themselves as “conservative” or Republican.

I just touched on the subject of Fanaticism in my last blog, but this is ridiculous. Here’s a big slap in the face to those who claim that the institutions of higher learning are not biased, and are not attempting to indoctrinate the young adults of this country.

English class, where you learn to write, learn proper grammar, punctuation, writing styles; is being used to push a left-wing agenda. Even worse it’s being used to belittle and alienate those who are of different beliefs than the professor, I thought the left believed in tolerance? That everyone was entitled to their opinion, but I would guess not.

I’ve written to the school, lambasting this scumbag who dares to call himself an educator, you should do the same:

It’s ridiculous.

Stay Motivated!

TS, a day late on the good luck, so I hope the root canal went well…..

But I’m with Brat on this….why does this not surprise me…..my kid would have walked out on the class, with her normal swing of her hair, smile on her face and current comment on all things not republican “hey, bite me, McCain is my homeboy, or in this case, Sarah, she’s my homegirl, and don’t you make fun of her!!!” What can I say, girls that wear glass, protect each other’s asses….. LOL….

It goes BOTH ways, and not just in colleges. My daughter faces the same problem from her republican HIGH SCHOOL history teacher. Same old same old.

Leo I have no doubt that it does go both ways, and maybe more so in High School. I worked in and around Colleges and Universities enough to know that the flow on campuses (unless they are private and geared to Conservatism) is liberal — and not just liberal, but rabidly liberal. If a Conservative professor does speak out it is often to his or her demise.
