Well, well…
I just found out that Knee Deep in the Hooah! was a finalist in the Milblogging awards for 2008 in the Military Parent category. I knew we had been nominated, but with all that we had going on I totally forgot (thank you to our nominator!) Very cool, indeed. I feel like I am playing with the big kids now.
In other news, I am healing along. I actually had oral surgery yesterday (remember the horrid and dreaded bone graft?). My posts were put in for an implant. I could have opted to do it later since I am still recovering from surgery, but I decided to go forward so I could have all of this behind me for the holidays and for ToySoldier and Mrs. ToySoldier’s visit in December.
I hope you all are doing well and hanging in there through these tumultuous times. Hang tough!

:ch WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Congrats. Claire AND Mr Hooah! I feel so honoured to be allowed to post on one of the “big kids” sites..(maybe I can put a logo on mine: Friend of finalist… :8 )
And yes, good idea to get all the “body work” as I call it, behind you. Want to be in great form for the Toy Soldier and Mrs Toy Soldier visit.. :B)

My goodness, you’re really having the works done this year. Plenty of time for a full recovery by the holidays.

You know I really didn’t want to get this implant done right now, but it was perfect timing i guess. He was able to do both parts of it at once since the bone graft took so well and was so strong. I am happy I only have to get a crown put on it now, but the anesthesia was really hard on me. To be honest… I would be perfectly happy if I knew I would never have to go under again … ever! :8

Congrats Claire, I am very proud of you, you guys rock here at Knee Deep, but then, I have told you that in the past!!!!!
I know how hard your last surgery was, I hope that you continue to heal well from this one, recovery is hard the older we get, no matter where we have it….take care of yourself, you need to be up to your best this holiday season!!!!

Please take Brat’s advice and take care of yourself.
We want to see all the wonderful evidence you bring back and post on the blog. Or as my sister calls it… blog fodder.
I’ve heard the trees are lovely now, don’t forget to take time to enjoy this season.
