A Call To All Conservatives

I’m not going to lie and say how happy I am for President-Elect Barack Obama, I’m not going to act like I’m not completely disappointed in Senator John McCain.

I am however going to make this challenge to my Conservative and Republican brethren, do not answer this Election with hate like the left did for President Bush. Do not go about demonizing Pres-Elect Obama, do not result to comparing him to dictators and thugs of times past, it will do no good.

What we can do is oppose his actions where we disagree, and work toward reclaiming the Legislature in 2010. We start rebuilding from the ground up, we all know that this party and sect has been dead for a long time, whether we wanted to accept it or not. Here’s our time to shine, and get back to basics.

We do not have a license to hate, Obama is not a Stalin, Mussolini, Lenin, Pot Pol, or whomever angry uneducated people would compare him to. His family is not fair game for snide remarks and attempts to defame them. We will not be the perpetrators of the same crimes we have been victim to for the last 8 years.

Heed my call, or prepare to remain disappointed all the way through 2016.
Stay Motivated.

How is the marriage, ToySoldier? I don’t really think of myself as a Conservative and have just started labeling myself as an American Rifleman, for many good reasons. A nice honorable title from my Heritage and something I hope to get better at every day at the range. I think there will be some good things from Obama’s becoming the Chief Executive of the United States of America. The first one I heard from another black man was there would be no more blaming The Man for lack of education, getting a job, personal responsibility for conduct, marriage, taking care of one’s children not because of one’s race. Not when Obama is The Man.

We do live in interesting times, take care out there, glad to read you bloggings.

When your folks tell you they’re proud of you it’s nice but hey they are your folks. So as I’m trying to play catchup as a new member to the KDH community, I must say, I’m extremely proud of you and your post is on target.
