Knee Deep in the Hooah!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have been looking for someone refreshing in today’s politics. Refreshing to me would mean a political maverick. A political leader who has an understanding of what made this Country great, and what it will take to keep Her that way. I have been looking for someone who reminds me of a Conservative hero like Ronald Reagan — not in looks, or just because he’s a great orator, but someone who holds similar proinciples and the moxy to back them up in the face of rabid liberal politicians.

Yeah. That’s what I am looking for. I am watching Jim DeMint from South Carolina closely. So far, I am very impressd with what I see. He defended the Marines in Berkeley, and wanted to take action when no one else did. He has been a voice for the people.  While Bush and Congress asserted that the answer to our dive bombing economy was to give more money to the government in order to give more money to failing businesses; DeMint asserted that the last thing we needed to do was give more money to people who have already proven that they can not manage it well.
