President Obama: Do you know how much it hurts to see you drop the charges against our sons killers? First the Dictator of Yemen freed our son’s killers. And now you sir. We had hoped for some justice here in our own country. But now it appears that politics are more important than justice and the truth.
Will there be no mercy in our day?

This news has upset me terribly. Everytime I hear about it, I am incredulous on how this could happen!! It is not about revenge but about justice for those who died. I also –if I understand the facts correctly–cannot comprehend how our President could have ordered this before EVEN talking to those who suffered this great loss. Talk about the Golden Rul here–how would he feel if one of his beautiful children (God forbid!) had been murdered by a terrorist. I just want to cry for the families—they are heroes in their own right for they continue to suffer (and sacrifice) for our nation daily and yet never signed up for this. Our nation–or at least those in power seemed to have forgotten the fallen and pay only lip service to them.

Right now, personally, I am watching my son gearing up to go to Afghanistan… Obama is sending money to every freaking handout there is — but he is cutting the military budget!!! It makes me so mad I could spit fire!
And… then this adds insult to injury. Really. No one needs to guess where Obama stands in his loyalty — and it sure in the heck is not with our military!

I know Claire. When I heard the President was cutting–is it $55 billion? – from their budget WHILE we are still at war in 2 countries and in danger of terrorism, I was very angry too. Like I said–if it were his kids, would he do that? NO! Because THAT would affect him and his family. Double standard.
Same old thing–say you’re for public schools but send your kids to private ones; say you are striving to fight ‘global warming’ and yet turn your thermostat up higher then you tell others tokeep theirs at . Know that people are losing their homes and jobs; yet allow the biggest-as in most expensive- Inauguration celebration that has ever been thrown without saying one thing to cut back on that (or maybe suggest that people donate money to charities instead of partying down. Now THAT would be a change!!). Say we are facing the worst economic crisis ever since the Great Depression and yet wine, dine, party like there is no tomorrow; send our tax dollars for overseas abortions, etc, etc–in other words talk is cheap and it’s driven by politics not heart felt by the speaker of this political dross. To me that is not what makes a leader-a leader leads by example not just eloquent words. A leader practices –no, lives–the words he preaches.
Guess I feel a bit sarcastic when I think our tax dollars are going to things I don’t see as creating much relief in terms of jobs, etc or saving people from foreclosures that happened through no fault of their own or other non-vital causes-, and yet we have Americans overseas and in danger that will — most likely– face shortages. Like I said–it appears that he is doing lip service only and that seems really, really wrong for a COC to do. It is the same old thing–say one thing; do another–if it doesn‘t affect you, no biggie. So disrespectful of this Administration I think–and arrogant to think one knows better then those who are specifically trained in the Military field. What do they think about this whole thing and how will it affect the individual Soldier who is someone’s precious child, spouse or friend.
OK calm down, Aimee. That is why I come here — I know you understand and really, truly care for our kids. As for your son—-I prayed for him until he came home safe and sound; when it comes time-I will be doing that again. Remember you are never alone. Never.
Anyway, sorry to be so long winded about this whole thing–delete, edit or do with it what you will. My hubby, who understands and agrees, has gone to bed and I just got done with watching the President on TV so I am just a whole lot upset now. I need to do a blessing post to help me remember WHO really is in charge here–
BTW–when do we set off on our march?
