More to come on rogue charity practices…
I am sure that many of you have read the AP article that is out and about today. I can not post excerpts here due to it being an AP article, and I am not fully ready to comment on the whole situation yet.
Suffice it to say that as soon as I read the article my Irish-social-worker-non-Profit-Administrator blood was boiling. I will write up in detail later the ethical violations I found in the article that are being used by the Army Emergency Relief organization.
First go HERE and read the article in its entirety.
Second, remember that this is the AP, and so try and sort through the facts and leave the angle out of it.
Third, if you are as mad as I am about the stockpiling of money being done by this organization, resolve yourself to do something about it.
Fourth, check back at KDH later for my write up. I will write it up in between gymastics classes, lunch play dates, and many other wild and wooley little girl adventures today. Oh, and while I am making a pile of laundry that has accrued while dealing with a weeks worth of walking pneumonia and other maladies.

More to come? Well, maybe your lazy husband could come home early and lend a hand.
On a serious note I read the AP piece. Some of it is intentionally misleading concerning Army practice and interface. The AP is known to have a certain, uhm, axe to grind. However some of it is damning of AER if remotely true. I really want to see your follow-up and analysis in that you, Claire, have been a VP in a rather large non-profit so I know you know much more about the legalities here than anyone else I personally know. Ya know?
This looks like an investigative piece for you!
