Dictating terms
Blurb on the news this morning….
Heard Obama giving speech at the G20 summit where he reassured the world that he was there “for a consensus and not to dictate our terms…”
Mkay, and then back home his debacle of a budget just passed without one GOP vote. We keep hearing that the Dems are having to fix “inherited problems” which is nothing more than a divisive move to shirk their own responsibility. They are inheriting a lot of the problems from their own failed policies. I just love how the Dems can have the majority in Congress for years and still whine that the Republicans are to blame for everything. Do these people ever admit a failed policy? Do they ever accept responsibility for anything? They want the best of both worlds — to make 100% of the decisions with 0% GOP input, but they would like for the GOP to stick around so they can play their decades long game of pin the blame on the elephant.
Talk about inheriting problems, let’s talk about the mess that Reagan walked into the very day he took office, courtesy of Jimmy Carter (D) and the mess he made of things in the Middle East (a mess I might point out that MY children have inherited now).
Let’s talk about the fact that barely 9-months into his Presidency, Bush inherited a huge problem when our Country was attacked by terrorists because of failed Democrat policies. Clinton’s legacy! Did you hear Bush sitting around whining about his inherited problems? No. You couldn’t hear him over the whining Democrats blaming him for everything from the attacks to Hurricane Katrina.
So, dictating on the home front is the flavor of the day. If I ever hear the stupidest term in our politics today “bipartisanship” used again I’m moving next door to Brat. Wake up GOP. Kick the RINOs out. Remember your principles or be prepared for a huge party split that will force you to finally make a decision about whether you are an elephant or a jackass.
I blame the Democrats for their policies and their stiff necked approach that divorces power from reason. I blame them for any and all failure from this point forward in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I do not blame the DNC for how stupid the GOP is acting. I blame the GOP.
Elephant up, or change parties. Elephant up, and own the fact that the jackasses do not want to play with you… they want power and they are grabbing it all up. Elephant up, and act like the Republicans of old who had moral authority and principles that gave them a power the jackasses could not compromise.

It was either “Elephant Up” or “Grow a set… (of tusks that is)”

Yea, this is all horrible–that our ‘leaders’ (from both sides but especially the Dems right now) don’t want to acknowledge their past mistakes, crappy decisions, bad policies, etc that led us to the place we find ourselves in today. No–they insist on passing the blame instead of taking personal responsibility.
What is even more sad is that a lot of Americans are buying this lie…it is OK to ‘like’ Obama’s charismatic personality, I guess (though I find him FAR from a humble man and far from being what I’d consider a good leader) but I just don’t get why so many are buying into this change being a good one or the current Administration and legislature being the answer to all our problems (cough, cough). They are all so full of themselves (not the American people but our so-called ‘leaders’ …. oh did I say that?) WHY aren’t the American people seeing this? It is SO clear that the policies being enacted are illogical and completely agenda driven.
How sad that we have wondered so far from the basic principles a lot of us grew up with. How sad that our children and grandchildren are growing up in a nation that is much changed from what we grew up with. How sad that bad, stupid, immoral and irresponsible is now called good and right. How sad that we (and those who come after us) will be reaping what they have sown for years to come…
Blessings anyway, aimee

Why don’t you tell us how you REALLY feel? Seriously though, it is scary that Americans have swallowed his lies. Lots more I could say, but you, Claire and Aimeee, have said all I would say, so I’ll just say: Bratdog will gladly share her couch with the princess……;)

Brat, keep the soup on, I think we may be coming your way… it’s either that or Texas if they decide to secede.
