Remember Reid’s Asinine Moment
Not that there is only one, mind you.
It was 2-years ago today that Harry Reid (D) stated that the war in Iraq is lost and the troop surge wasn’t accomplishing anything.
Ok, quick time-line and then the video…
Reid says Surge is not working on April 19, 2007 — Right? Right.
Surge launches formal operations June 15, 2007 — Right? Right.
So, Reid declared the surge a failure TWO months before the thing even started. Now, I know that in the movies Generals, Soldiers and Marines can pull a war out of their backside and be back home to their loving wife within 2… maybe 3-hours. In the real world, however, it takes months of diligent work to get the man power, the supplies, and the strategies down in order to accomplish such a huge, and SUCCESSFUL, operation like the Surge of 2007.
How do I know this? Because I am one very proud Blue Star mom of a surge Veteran, and if you think I wasn’t watching what our elected officials were saying and doing just as closely as I was watching what our troops were doing… you don’t know me very well.

Oh,I remember this all too well!! I can not understand why the Republicans did not play this over and over during the campaign. In all sincerity I believe Reid betrayed his country and is shamefull.Pelosi was right there with him!! Biden gave a speech the other day and talked about all the successes our troops have had ,however he was in the choir with Reid too. Biden said the Surge would not work. Not one media person has confronted these traitors!! Biden is a fraud! Dang I’m getting a little to carried away. Bulldog Out!!!

Claire, this upset me more than anything. My son and your soldier in the thick of things and having all kinds of success and Reid and his bunch pronouced it a failure before it really got started(The Surge). If you remember at this time Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan were receiving massive media coverage and The Iraq War almost none except for politicians like Reid. I think we also need to pour Murtha in the bunch too!! Bulldog Out!!!

Bulldog, I remember definitely! I remember several of us family members were very angry with the disrespect that the media gave our soldiers.
It really pisses me off that now “winning in Iraq” is suddenly cool and a good thing to celebrate. Excuse me! This tells me that their first alliance is with their cronies. They only support the troops inasmuch as the troops are a prop for them. Our troops deserve support regardless of who is in office!
