Jackass of the Day Award — it’s not just for politicians and the elite
Just saw a headline about someone being offended by the flag Tweeted by Pat Dollard who has posted the article at his blog (and I have an excerpt below)
***Also, the post below is updated with contact information to the hospital if you would like to contact them. Thank you Hank for the information found in your comment! ***
This is unbelievable.
Sorry if our flag offends you.
Sorry if it doubly offends you on Memorial Day when we are remembering the young men and women who come home in coffins draped with that flag because they chose to fight for your freedom.
People.tick.me.off.
So here’s to you “Ms. Your-flag-offends-others-so-take-it-down” — let me finish that statement for you –
“Your flag is offensive, but I love to live off the blood sacrifice of the Patriots who come home draped in that Flag, because I don’t have the courage to do it myself. I have the courage to make you take down your flag because some ungrateful moron from Africa is offended by the site of the flag that gives him the freedom to even come to this country and have a freaking job.”
There you go. You earned it. You are the Jackass of the Day! That is no small feat either. Now you also are in the running for the highly coveted and long anticipated Jackass of the Year Award.
MANSFIELD (CBS 11 News) ―
Is it okay to show your patriotism at the office?
For one Arlington woman, the answer was “no” after she hung an American flag in her office just before the Memorial Day weekend.
Debbie McLucas is one of four hospital supervisors at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield. Last week, she hung a three-by-five foot American flag in the office she shares with the other supervisors.
When McLucas came to work Friday, her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive. “I was just totally speechless. I was like, ‘You’re kidding me,’” McLucas said.
McLucas’ husband and sons are former military men. Her daughter is currently serving in Iraq as a combat medic.
Stifling a cry, McLucas said, “I just wonder if all those young men and women over there are really doing this for nothing.”

*** Updated*** Information via Hank:
Part I
I went to the source article, the official response from Kindred supposedly was that the flag size was too big, but if that was true it wasn’t originally brought up when the event happened and it doesn’t match what Debbie McLucas said happened.
I then with to the cbs11tv.com and saw the link to their facebook account http://www.facebook.com/TXA21 and saw the following posted by Charles James which I echoed as I share the exact same sentiments. “Anyone who finds the US flag offensive is welcome to leave our country at anytime. This is a flag an symbol of the United States which men and women have fought an died for well over a hundred years. Any corporate official or public bureaucrat who is so weak in the knees an spineless than to stand up for the US flag needs to be removed from their position as they are a poor influence on those who they come in contact with. Ask me to take down the US flag in my country whether it be my office or my home an you can go to hell.”
Part II
I just called Kindred Hospital (817) 473-6101 and couldn’t get through or leave a message to the Business Office (Press 6) or the Admin Office (Press 7). I just wanted to express my support for Debbie McLucas. May I suggest KDH readers fax a copy of the American Flag to their fax number and perhaps address it to Rhonda Y. Williams. I’m working on my own little fax to here and may post it here as well. — Semper Fi, Hank

The person removing the flag is Olubunmi F. Ayeni-Agbelese an immigrant that refuses to learn or speak proper English. It is far better than Nigeria where she is from. More disturbing is she doesn’t even have the guts to stand up for what she believes which is the back bone of the United States. She made the comments that the flag offended her and now hides like a coward. The hospital administrators are no better and gave a corporate coward response to the situation. The short of it all is that being a coward is easier than standing up for what you believe.
