FL Reservist comes home to a destroyed home UPDATED
**This update is from blackfive.net
UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Paul Johnson, a retired Seabee, who is taking care of the clean-up and repairs.В Roughly 20 people showed up today to help with the effort.В Some were his crew, some were friends, some just showed up to help.В “I was quite impressed with the help that came out today” said Johnson. Her insurance company is indeed stepping up, to the point of impressing those there.
The house is now set for restoration, and that work will begin shortly.В More soon.
I came across this article first at RN this morning, and Twittered it. Now Black Five is on the scene and I have no doubt that in time we will have some information on how to help this single mother and Reservist out.
EXCERPT:
WESLEY CHAPEL – An unholy stench and paint-splattered walls greeted Army reservist Arleen Agosto when she returned home Thursday.
The emergency-room nurse, who has been treating wounded combat soldiers at Fort Eustis, Va., received a call a few days ago from a friend saying her Meadow Pointe home had been vandalized.
Pink paint was splattered on the walls, television, floors, furniture and ceiling, and the walls had been burned.
That was just in the living room.
“It was overwhelming,” said Agosto, 43, a single mother of three.
The stink came from human feces and urine on the family’s beds.
Her 3-year-old daughter Olivia’s toys had been smashed or stolen. Family pictures, including a sonogram image of Olivia, had been destroyed. Unused condoms were strewn about the house, and a large phallic symbol was painted in pink on a wall near the kitchen.
Even a military uniform belonging to her 26-year-old daughter, Lisandra Bigler, had been taken. It is unclear when the house was vandalized.
And in another update posted in the comment section at blackfive.net it appears the Sheriff’s office has some leads.
As soon as I have any information on how you can help this Reservist I promise to pass it along.

I would like to thank everyone for all of the kind words of support. Currently the damages are at 51,000 and that does not include personal property damages. I am currently attempting to take leave so that I can return to Florida and address some of the decisions related to the damages. I will be honest with everyone
I am a very strong woman and I usually can handle many challenges but this is probably taking me to my breaking point.
