Happy Father’s Day
We talk a lot about the sacrifice of our soldiers. We know they go into harms way, get injured sometimes, sometimes they lose friends, and some have lost their lives — we often don’t ponder the other sacrifices they endure for our freedom and safety.
Tomorrow there will be fathers who are half a world away from the children because we need protecting. They will miss another day, another moment, another dinner, another chance to tuck their children into bed at night on account of us — me and you. They will never get that moment back.
How can we ever be grateful enough?
Thank you, always to all of our Veterans. This weekend an extra round of applause, gratitude and prayers of support go out to our Veterans who are also fathers.

It was a great Fathers Day at Claire’s house. She made home made bean burritos and ice cream sundaes. I got a call from my favorite E5, a card from my 5 yr old, and got to spend some time with my own dad. Not bad. Not bad at all.
