9/8-SICK OUT day for school aged children!
Barack Obama is set to ‘address’ the nation’s children. Yet again, America’s parents are vocal in their disdain for this latest “teaching moment.”:

9/8-SICK OUT day for school aged children!
Have you read any transcripts thus far as to the content or subject of Obama’s Internet speech to the children? Do you have a child between PRE-K and 12th grade?
Well by authority of Obama, he wants to deliver an undisclosed speech to YOUR child AT SCHOOL on Sept 8th.MY CHILD will be sick that day. Swine flu. It is going around…allergic to swines.
My child will NOT BE indoctrinated by BO.Homeschooling kids do not have to worry about the indoctrination speech. Lucky for them. I wonder—is BO going to invade private schools? Do HIS children have to listen to him droll on and on about nothing. Oh wait. They live with him. I am sure he makes time to indoctrinate his own kids.
NOT MINE! As a PARENT, I CHOOSE what my child learns. If I am not satisfied with a text book offered by the school, I purchase another to teach my child the TRUTH, versus a watered down PC version of some liberal text. This happens often… I should home school….

If he would stick just to the ‘script’ the WH is trying to sell us it would probably (and I say this with a lot of skepticism) be OK. But what is to stop him–once he starts the ‘speech’ from changing the content of the speech–the message? I don’t trust that he or the friends/advisors/acquaintences/mentors/family/
cabinet members/other staff and I have the same values…at all. And all along most of the media will support his message–no matter what it ends up to be.
Or let’s say he does stick to the ‘script’ totally and delivers the message ‘stay in school’ ‘you can succeed’ and nothing more. Will our children then be won over by his charisma combined with a strong dose of the mostly liberal teaching today and the constant ‘PC’ line that you are a racist if you disagree with the President? Will they find themselves buying the lies–thinking what is my parent’s problem with this guy anyway? I saw my son, raised conservatively and even in a private Christian school for most of his elementary school years be totally won over by the liberal message; he still is to this day. And my daughter–mostly conservative- support him too.
He is dangerous—he will come across as totally hip, in tune with the younger generation, only with the best interests of the nation at heart. Yea, right I say. NOT! I’ve seen some of his messages so far…
If I had school-aged children in public school they would stay home that day and I would make sure that their assignment did not include ‘how I can support my President’. Or if I did send them, I would want to make sure I heard–first hand-the televized message this man is selling to our impressionable youth so I could clear up any conflicts we have with it later.
